We usually have Sushi, Ramen or BBQ in the Japanese Restaurant in North America. However, Pepper Lunch is not an ordinary Japanese Restaurant what we used to have. You may ask What's so special about it? Pepper Lunch is a D.I.Y fast food Restaurant that gives you a new experience in a Japanese Restaurant.
The main dishes here are the sizzling Steaks, Pastas, Curry Rice, and their signature Pepper Rice.

Their Restaurant located in Richmond BC Canada

The highlight is their unique design iron plate. Using a special electromagnetic cooker also patented in Japan, the iron plate will heat up to 260˚C in 70 seconds and remain hot at approximately 80˚C for more than 20 minutes. Meat that is grilled at this temperature range remains tender and juicy. The hot plate also keeps food warm for a longer time such that customers can enjoy the full flavor of the dish.
Here is my order - Kobe beef burger and Salmon combo with pepper rice. It comes with 3 unique house sauce to choose for customers.

They provide the simple instruction to show you how to make the perfect meal

Please listen to the harmony of the Sizzling pan. This is the most enjoyable part of the experience in Pepper Lunch especially when I was hungry AF.
I have to tell you it is quite greasy because of the Kobe Beef Burger but I am okay with that.

I like the sound of the sizzling meat on the iron hot pan and the fresh ingredients. The portion VS price is pretty reasonable. The modern design of the restaurant creates a spacious environment, suitable for both families, groups or couples. Their staffs are friendly and thoughtful - They brought us 2 sets of cutlery and chopsticks without us asking after I ordered a set meal by myself and seated with my husband. As a customer I do appreciated the thought even though it is something small. The food is okay but the house sauce is a bit salty for me. In conclusion, The overall experience is not bad.
