Ramen is a Japanese dish that consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork (chāshū), dried seaweed (nori), menma, and green onions. Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen of Kyushu to the miso ramen of Hokkaido. (cited from Wikipedia)
Sanpoutei is from Niigata and its well-known for their Shoyu ramen, their broth is boiled for six hours using vegetables, chicken, pork bone and 2 types of dried sardine all imported from Japan (Info from Sanpoutei website)

New menu - Chicken Shio Ramen with different topping options

I have tried the following ramen here today:
1.TORI X SPICY MISO RAMEN
4 pieces of seasoned charred pork belly, a flavored soft boiled egg with spicy miso chicken broth base

2. SHOYU RAMEN (Signature Ramen)
2 pieces of seasoned charred pork belly, half of flavored soft boiled egg, Seaweed, 3 bamboo shoot with Soy sauce & Dried sardine seafood flavored broth base

3. TORI RAMEN
2 pieces of seasoned charred pork belly, half of flavored soft boiled egg, Cherry tomato, lettuce with Rich Chicken broth base

Soft boiled egg is the best combo with Ramen

I am happy with the firm and springy texture noodles. I like the SHOYU Ramen the most because of the sweet flavor. Furthermore, the charred pork belly could be too much for someone who doesn't used to the fat texture since the meat is 70% fat.
4.SANPOUTEI Deep fried Spring Chicken with Tartar Souce
Homemade tartar sauce with sweet vinegar flavor added

The chicken is deep fried so it is quite greasy but juicy at the same time.

The food is good and the price is reasonable. There is a reason that Sanputei becomes one of the well-known International Chain restaurant from a small traditional Ramen place in Niigata Japan since 1967.
